The Great and Random Ramblings of Cannwin

I have been up since 5 AM. With 4 children. 3 of which got up at least once during the night. The oldest 2 had to get ready for school. And the 1 me that there is wants to take a nap. Oh, and there are 0 days left to vote for your favorite blog. Congratulations to ' Goddess in Progess ' for winning the title of Best Blog to Follow. Now she can put this beauty up on her blog (if she wants) and we should all go on over and click the 'follow' button she has ready and waiting. As for who this lady is, well, Heather just had her first child, a beautiful baby boy. She likes to be healthy and is in the process of starting an e-group for all of you who want to be healthy with her! She's a gem and once sent me some essential oils to reduce my knee and shoulder pain. I loved the stuff! Well, still love the stuff, but my roommate stole it and is now holding it hostage in her bedroom downstairs. (When she leaves for Christmas I'll steal it back.) So go.....

I haven't done a blog award in awhile... so let's do one today. Do you remember what my blog award is all about? Today I get the privilege of being noted for my hard work and dedication. Okay, really I contacted them, but still... I'm being featured! Our words of wisdom does this blogs of note thing that I just had to get in on. So here I am... in on it. Now that I have your attention why don't I get to work. By the time I'm done you'll all be scrolling my sidebar looking for the follow button... which only the truly sincere and dedicated readers do. :) Me. My name is Cannwin (not really but it's all you'll get out of me). I am a 30 year old (I finally said it. Whew) South Dakotan, with a scoop of stubborn and a pound of sarcasm. My formal education ended with a high school diploma and I have spent the last decade teaching myself about anything and everything that peaks my interest. I read voraciously and, it's possible, addictively--my husband got me a book light for our anniversary this year--and I adore writing. Some oddities about me... *I onc...

  Good morning my fine feathered friends... today I had an early appointment with an orthopedic surgeon to assess my aching knee . I have run the gamut of doctors when it comes to my knee (okay maybe not the ENTIRE gamut, but at least three) and have had zero results. So I went in today thinking that I was finally going to get an answer to why it's been hurting me for the last four years. Guess what? Nothing's wrong. At least that's what the doctor said. So I'd like to know how nothing can be wrong with the knee that bothers me every time I kneel down and every time the weather changes. He recommended I go to Physical Therapy. I've decided I'm never seeing a doctor again in my life (other than my OB-Gyn) because evidently there is no point. They take all their pictures and bombard my body with radiation only to tell me there's nothing wrong. Can someone please commiserate with me about this? Because I'm going to be dwelling on it for the rest...

I know you were all super excited with the prospect of another blog swapperoo with Evelyn, but what with the whole Mo(u)rning Sickness she's having we decided to postpone it for a bit. :) More to come soon. Until then I thought we could do another blog follower award. Surely with the amount of new followers I have, and the three months that have lapsed since the last vote, we can come up with some new and exciting blogs we like. As always... I've come up with a great idea. :) Actually this one has been said and done before, but I thought I'd hop on the bandwagon and have some fun. In truth my real motivation is quite selfish. I'm looking for a new blog to read, something good. I have a lot that I do read but what happens is that I get bored or they don't post frequently enough for my taste. So I'm going to make my own blog award... with your help of course. HELP! I'll figure out how to put a Mr. Linky up, but if you don't want (or know how to use him) you can post a link to one of your favorite blogs in the comments.
