Dandelion Wishes Blog Swap

I've decided to join a blog swap as a way of investigating the pen pal idea again. It sounds like a lot of fun (Ralexwin is going to kill me).

So I guess I'm supposed to post her widget on my sidebar and maybe on this post as well.--overkill is never bad is it?--









Then I make some sort of sworn statement to actually mail my package out. 


"I, Cannwin, hereby promise to spend money I don't have in hopes of buying the friendship of an unknown person via the internet. I also promise to give money to the USPS so that perhaps next year they won't raise the price of postage." 

Then I have to link it all back to her. --I hope I got that all right... we shall see--

I am so excited that you joined the swap.

You will be getting a confirmation email once I get your info. Please respond to that email, doing so will confirm your spot in the swap. Once I get all of the RSVPs and confirmation from everyone I will make the matches...around Feb 20. THEN all packages need to be sent on March 6.

My last swaps were amazing. In order for this one to be just as amazing (or more, can you imagine?) communication is paramount. Be prepared to hear from me often, you are going to love this!

Ooo! Feeling a little spicy today?? Haha! I love how you put things! Yea, I kind of jumped into it before I saw the price tag. I hope I get the bestest friend ever for my $20! Wouldn't it be hilarious if they paired us? I actually thought of you when I was writing the penpal bit...I almost felt a little plageristic, but I don't think you have a copyright on the Penpal Program...DO YOU? Haha!

This was my week two craft for So You Think You're Crafty. I placed third that week for this one. I thought you might enjoy finding out how I made it. I tried about a million different decorations before settling on one that didn't drown out my rings. I wanted them to the focal point. This is also why I went with black fabric and not something more vivid. Don't be intimidated by the lack of 101 I'm giving you. It really is a straight forward sort of project. If you know how to use a glue gun without burning yourself you can do this. Just be sure to dust off your imaginative brain space first. :) The one important thing you might be wondering is how I got the pink fabric to stick to the shoe. I really just Mod Podged it on. There are several different ways to make ring tubes that you can find online. One I saw used that colored foam paper stuff that you find in the kids craft section. But does it matter if the world remembers you?  Age begins to press its hands upon your chest and the need to be remembered seems to increase with the pressure.  Stop.
