It's been a while since I posted any of the fun sites I've found so I thought (since it's a lazy no school day) to post some today!

Various:
Pipl.com- I've run across some discussion on facebook about people worrying about their digital footprints. This site is a great place to look for yours. You just put in your name and it will do an in depth search of you (or anyone you feel like stalking). It's very interesting... (also can I suggest searching yourself--or username--in google images. You'd be surprised what pops up.)

nibbledish.com- my favorite food site I go here first when I'm looking for a new recipe.

picnik.com- this is a free image altering website. It's fun. It's where I made 'Jack' on my last post and where I did this picture:

madsencycles.com- my -current- dream bicycle.

Childmade.com- a catch all site of crafting projects.

craftgossip.com- another catch all crafting site.

abby's blog- this is the blog of a 16 year old girl whose trying to become the youngest person to ever sail solo around the world...without touching land.

The Toy Society- I love this idea! Vicbowin and I are planning to 'make a drop' sometime soon.

The Vintage Chic Boutique- I actually think she calls it something else, but I go through her blog to get to it... it's a shop for patterns that I love and want to buy all of the patterns (alas I have bought none).

Book Reviews- This lady does a killer book review. I go there for ideas on what to read.

wow- that sailing blog is wild. Her parents are either really good parents or totally crazy. And only the three of them know which.

What a great way to put it! My mom said, 'where are her parents?' and I said 'what would you rather a 16 year old be doing?'

BUT if her parents aren't taking some serious precautions they are nuts.

Altered Shoe Art: Ring Holder Shoe Tutorial

This was my week two craft for So You Think You're Crafty. I placed third that week for this one. I thought you might enjoy finding out how I made it. I tried about a million different decorations before settling on one that didn't drown out my rings. I wanted them to the focal point. This is also why I went with black fabric and not something more vivid. Don't be intimidated by the lack of 101 I'm giving you. It really is a straight forward sort of project. If you know how to use a glue gun without burning yourself you can do this. Just be sure to dust off your imaginative brain space first. :) The one important thing you might be wondering is how I got the pink fabric to stick to the shoe. I really just Mod Podged it on. There are several different ways to make ring tubes that you can find online. One I saw used that colored foam paper stuff that you find in the kids craft section. Use your words, my dear sweet soul, they are inside of you... So find them. Write, you silly girl, write so hard the world will never forget you. But does it matter if the world remembers you?  Age begins to press its hands upon your chest and the need to be remembered seems to increase with the pressure.  Stop. That's not a line of thought you're interested in pursuing.  Live in the now. Does it matter if the world remembers you if your neighbor is going hungry?  Perhaps age is merely pushing you out the door.  Go. Live in the now.
