April Theme: Crazy Crafting Cannwin
Okay, I have to admit that all these craft blogs have my creative juices on over-drive. This might be only exacerbated by the fact that I am in charge of overseeing the women's groups at church, plus a supply of plywood in my garage just sitting there looking lonely.
Since I've spent so much time filling my house with fun things to use and admire, I thought I'd share a few of them this month.
How fun can that be really!?
I'll start small for all of you.
I'm really good at keeping track of my keys, but I've found that this is a bit of an oddity for me. Not many people have such a talent ::coughralexwincough::
So I made this little gem to go over the coat rack by our back door.
It's a conglomeration of several things.
1) some nice lookng hooks I picked up in the hardware section of Wal-Mart. (Wouldn't it be cute with antique drawer knobs?)
2) a 'family rules' list I made on my computer (It was a lot of work, I had to print it out so as to justify the time spent!)
3) spray paint and said plywood and some paper letters and a strip of ribbon.
Put it all together with the Mod-Podge and what you get is a very useful piece of craftiness.
The rules stated are:
Obey Mom & Dad
Be Kind
Choose the Right
Never Give Up
Say "Please" and "Thank-you"
Hugs and Kisses Everyday
Do Your Best!
Stick Up For Your Family
Pray Always
No whining, no fighting, no yelling.-- (broken everyday)
If you want the 'family rules' file I can send it to you, just email me. (I have to warn you... it has a 'W' on it, but I'm sure you guys can work around that)

You haven't met my Goblin! He could keep track of his keys, his important documents, his hearing aids and all relevant and important phone numbers in a hurricane! :) Strangely though, if something does happen to go missing ( on the rare occasion) I'm sure to hear, "What did you do with my...?" I always find it rather amusing when I find the said object on his desk! :)
