Headache and Heart-Sick

I woke up with a headache this morning. Oma says that if you feel you have a 'logjam' in your life that you should make a list of ways to overcome it.

Since I'm a fan of listing things (and labelling things, I love to label things) I figured that seemed like an easy... anti-throbbing blogpost for the day.

1. Take two Advil.
2. Drink more water.
3. Go on a bike ride this morning.
4. Eat a healthy breakfast.
5. Pick out a nice fun outfit and make sure I'm all dressed up for the day.

It's day seven since Ralexwin has been gone. I don't think I've been doing very well at being the strong soldier's wife. I need to change my attitude or the next eight days are going to crawl by.

So today I am going to start out right. I am going to get some exercise, get out of the house, run the errands I've been putting off and clean, clean, clean.

I think my kids deserve a happy mom. Not a love-sick, lonely one. It's time I stop being selfish and suck it up!

Or you could just wallow for awhile and we would all understand. But sure, if you want to go with that whole keep moving forward, upward and onward approach...

Getting dressed in something cute improves my outlook at least 60%. Buying something cute improves it at least 90%
It sounds to me like you are doing a great job of being the strong soldier's wife. I'm sure any woman in a good marriage is going to be upset when her husband has to be gone for so long. Just means you're happy with him. I hope your plan helps, sounds like a good one. :)

Your hair is long! I don't know if I have ever seen it that long. I really like it.

-Evelyn, I've decided to only wallow at night after the kids are in bed. Then I can watch sinful Boston Legal and gorge myself on soda and ice cream in peace. :)

-Oma, I totally agree. I ♥♥ shopping. Alas, I am the wife of a law student and I think he was hoping that he would come home with some money still in the bank. ::sigh::

-Tess, Thank you, I think the true mark of a healthy relationship would be when the spouse does not blame their absent half for unavoidable separations... especially ones involved with children on summer vacation.

-Polly, it's an old picture... It's not that long right now, but I sort of miss it, especially since I could pull into a pony tail then. :)
