Blogger Bash

Hello. My name is Cannwin... not really but that's all you'll get out of me. I am a mother to four children that you can learn more about by clicking on 'characters.' I am married to a Law Student and I live in South Dakota. I am almost 30 which is slightly intimidating.

I stay at home, day-in and day-out, with my four crazy kiddo's and experience many emotions some of which I share here on my blog.


#1. Why do you blog?

I love the written word and find blogging as a major outlet for the constant bouncing around that the English language does inside my head. At some point in my life I would like to be able to make some money at it and thereby not feel like a complete burden upon my husband. (which I rarely feel like, but hey...)

#2. What do you blog about?

Absolutely anything that strikes my fancy. I use a lot of prompts, I have several 'themes' that I pull from on a frequent basis (including, but not limited to, 'funny things the kids say,' and 'the understatement,'). My most common topic, however, is my children and all of their crazy antics.

#3. What do you find to be the biggest reward you get from blogging?

Would it be boring if I told you it's the number of followers I have? It's the number of hits a day I get and the number of comments I get. I love that people read what I have to say, and enjoy it. It makes me want to write more.

My siblings constantly tell me I'm good at writing, but you can only take sibling praise so far. It's the perfect stranger that I love to hear compliments from.

#4. How long have you been blogging?

Umm, two and a half to three years. That's a little surprising. It's gone by so fast!

#5. Let's hear the story behind your blog title! :) 

I actually came up with the blog title first. I must have been starting to delve into blogs for the first time and I started toying with the idea of having my own blog. I had already come up with my screen name--cannwin-- and had started using it, so it was only a matter of time. 

One day those bouncing words in my head just came together and there it was 'The Great and Random Ramblings of Cannwin.' I have to admit it fits me perfectly. Sometimes I blog about the most random inconsequential things and other times I pick some topic I really care about and go for it.

Random Rambler fits me well.

Well, that's it. I'm in. I've signed up for something I barely understand. :) Sounds about right for me.
