Okay, I gotta tell you. That was harder than I'd thought. There were a few photographs that I left out because I had a limit. Also, I love anything Ansel Adams, I just picked that one because it's an LDS Temple.

I also adore Monet and Degas, but I find 'The Tub' to be my favorite Degas piece (best seen in person).

The 'Experiment on a Bird' and 'Execution of Lady Jane Grey' are both fantastic works to see up close. They are both huge and the lighting in them is genius. 

'A Lion Hunt' and 'Rain, Steam & Speed' both create a feeling of more to come within me. A world of almost seens, and I admit finding myself drawn back to them over and over again.

Finally both the 'Pieta' and the 'David' are works that cannot be fully appreciated without standing before them.... Maybe none of these works can be completely appreciated without actually being there. Hmm.

You would have to verify this, but I had a professor say that at one point a crazy person hacked off some fingers from the Peita, so they made a replica to display while it was being repaired.

That replica is now in a church in Salt Lake.

Kind of cool. If I have my facts right.

Sioux Falls has a replica of David. As a kid we went on a walking field trip and he was one of the things we visited.I must've been in 3rd or 4th grade. I couldn't stop looking at his "part". Here are a couple of my faves...

I like Miranda. I've seen that one before and I remember liking it. Of course, it could be the red hair... I sure do love red hair.

Altered Shoe Art: Ring Holder Shoe Tutorial

This was my week two craft for So You Think You're Crafty. I placed third that week for this one. I thought you might enjoy finding out how I made it. I tried about a million different decorations before settling on one that didn't drown out my rings. I wanted them to the focal point. This is also why I went with black fabric and not something more vivid. Don't be intimidated by the lack of 101 I'm giving you. It really is a straight forward sort of project. If you know how to use a glue gun without burning yourself you can do this. Just be sure to dust off your imaginative brain space first. :) The one important thing you might be wondering is how I got the pink fabric to stick to the shoe. I really just Mod Podged it on. There are several different ways to make ring tubes that you can find online. One I saw used that colored foam paper stuff that you find in the kids craft section.
